TRELLIS SYSTEMS

These systems are used as a way to define space either by masking building structures or creating secluded areas. They use a supporting framework on which to support plant growth and come in many material forms from traditional wood to high tensile cable systems.

Trellis systems are not only used for aesthetic purposes but also as away to balance seasonal heat exchange between buildings and the environment, as well as acting as a vegetative sound barrier. Their ability to suppress dust and air borne pollutants has become an increasingly valued benefit.
