We're officially BALI accredited!
We are BALI accredited!
We are thrilled to announce that we are now accredited members of BALI - The British Association of Landscape Industries.
BALI accreditation demonstrates the business is working in line with specific quality and health and safety standards, and has been one of the benchmarks of this in our industry for 50 years.
We are very proud to have their seal of approval and join one of the UK's leading Trade Associations.
A bit more about BALI:
‘Established in 1972 the British Association of Landscape Industries promotes, supports and inspires over 900 Accredited members including landscape contractors, landscape architects, garden designers and suppliers to be leaders of an environmentally, ethically and commercially sustainable landscape services industry.
‘All Association Accredited members have been vetted to ensure the highest standards of workmanship, skill and health & safety practices to give you total peace of mind when selecting your landscaping professional.’
Taking positive steps forward
B Corp - Certified B Corporations, or B Corps, are companies verified by B Lab to meet high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability. Becoming a B Corp business means a comprehensive evaluation of our social and environmental standards and an ongoing commitment to these areas of the business.
These standards are judged by an independant standards advisory council made up of a multi-stakeholder group. Meristem Design are in the review stages with B Lab after submitting our initial assessment. We are working towards achieving our certification in the coming weeks, so watch this space!
By becoming a B Corp organisation, our hope is to genuinely improve our social and environmental impact as we grow. Read more about the B Corp movement here.
ISO certification - The International Organisation for Standardisation are some of the worlds best recognised standards for quality, environmental and health and safety standards. We are excited to announce we have been certified in 9001 (Quality Management), 14001 (Environmental Management) and 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety).
Over the years we have established and continued to refine our own management systems in these areas, and adopted other certification and training to support this. Conforming to these standards are our latest effort to continuously improve how we operate, and will help the business take part in a wider scope of projects with varying requirements.
